We collect information you provide and information generated by your use of Muvy:

• Account information: email address, display name, username, profile photo, and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
• Library and activity: titles you log as watched, watch-later entries, custom lists, ratings, favorites, follows, and social activity you create in the app.
• Preferences: language, content regions, notification settings, and privacy settings such as private profile or activity visibility.
• Push notifications: device push tokens when you enable notifications. You can turn push off at any time in Settings.
• Subscription status: whether you have an active Muvy Pro subscription. Payment details are processed by Apple or Google, not by us directly.
• Support messages: information you send when you contact us by email.

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain your account, library, lists, and activity feed.
• Sync your data across devices when you are signed in.
• Send optional push notifications about follows and activity when you enable them.
• Process and display subscription entitlements for Muvy Pro.
• Show public share previews on muvyapp.com for content you choose to make public.
• Respond to support requests and improve the service.

The Muvy website shows read-only previews of shared links. Media detail pages are public. Custom lists, watch-later, and watched pages are shown only when the related profile or list is not marked private. Private profiles and private lists are not published on the web.

We use trusted service providers to operate Muvy:

• Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and backend functions.
• Apple and Google for sign-in, when you choose those options.
• TMDB and Trakt for movie and TV metadata, ratings, and related content.
• RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for subscription management.
• Expo push notification infrastructure to deliver notifications you opt into.
• These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. Muvy is not endorsed by or affiliated with TMDB, Trakt, or other third-party content providers.

You can control your data in the app:

• Set your profile to private or adjust activity visibility in Settings.
• Enable or disable push notifications and notification categories.
• Clear cached app data from Settings.
• Delete your account permanently from Settings. This removes your account, library, lists, and activity and cannot be undone.

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete associated personal data from our systems, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance, or backup cycles.

Muvy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Muvy is available internationally. Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. By using Muvy, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Muvy after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
